UV Protection
Provide protection from UV light. The changes witnessed in plastic can range from discoloration to the formation of cracks. The addition of UV-resistant additives can extend the life and improve the appearance of the plastic.
Infrared reflection
All dark surfaces exposed to sunlight will absorb incident light converting the energy, normally Near IR light(NIR), into heat energy so that surface of the part heats up. Infrared pigments allow a significant reduction in the solar heating of the part.
